Interesting place.....
First thoughts are that it is just a huge development project. There are really beautiful historical forts and traditional buildings but these are outnumbered by the new, crisp,modern city they are trying to build. Everywhere you go there are new buildings going up. Its only a small island but there must be at least five enourmous shopping centres packed with Western shops and culture. It was interesting to see as much of their traditions and cultures as I could though it has been swamped by the modern development. There are some ace places to eat and spend the evening and the weather was hot even in December. Very sandy though and I missed the green hills of Wales!
